The rifle is in working order, you will be pleased with the action. The sites are in tact. The top cover is original. The Mattel saddle Gun was made around 1958, it measures 33 inches long. It looks and feels like the real thing. It uses Mattel perforated roll caps. This cap rifle works correctly
The 8 toy bullets are genuine Mattel. I tried the gun to make sure I could load it, and then eject the bullets. They are the one piece toy genuine Mattel bullets made specifically for this cap rifle by Mattel and Mattel stamped on the head of each bullet. These all metal, one piece, play bullets were made by Mattel for the Mattel Winchester Saddle Gun. The 8 play bullets can be loaded into the trap door of the Saddle gun and then ejected from the receiver just like a real Winchester rifle. The rifle is the 2nd Edition with the secret trigger. This was THE top gun to own.
